  1. The first single proper, and still their best? The 7" has We Dress Up Like Snowmen as the A-side, and quite right too, a great stomper which highlights Tattersall's Bo Diddley-esque inclination to put himself, or "David" into his songs. The AA-side is Now You Are Pregnant, a song which is generally considered to be amongst their best. I've always thought it to be about someone coming to terms with the object of their affection not really living up to the pedestal they've been put upon. This is illustrated by the brush off of Johnny Cash's death which clearly means something to the narrator - or at least that's how I read it. The title of the song isn't mentioned within it, but gives you another understandable reason why this unrequited love needs to come to an end.

    I missed this when it was originally came out so had to pay over the odds for the 7". It was easily worth it though....
