The second If You Leave It Alone single, Strawberry Cables is one of the best songs in the WP's canon. The arrangement on this version is excellent and the Freschard/Brinks backing vocals make it impossible not to sing-a-long to.
ReplyDeleteThe catalogue of great b-sides, surely the mark of the truly great bands, is also building nicely. In fact, it would probably have made a better single choice. It has some lovely percussive touches too which marks it out from their other tunes.
Apparently Acuarela Records released this on 7 inch but I don't own it and have never seen a copy.
