The Wave Pictures 2015

It's 2015. What do we have to look forward to? Well, on the Wave Picture front it would seem quite a lot.

Ahead of their double session on Marc Riley's BBC 6 show this week they appeared on Saturday on Resonance FM:

The interview is particularly interesting as David Tattersall documents more for us to look forward to:

* A second single to be released the same day as the album

* A sequel to the original Tattersall/Andre Herman Hune album

* A Jonny Helm 10 inch.

So added to the LP we're all looking forward to and the latest WP/Stanley Brinks LP which has been in the bag for sometime and should see a release on Fika this year, it looks like 2015 should make up for an album-less 2014 (albeit one with an EP, a collaboration LP and a covers LP!)

This site is dedicated to Britain's best, and most unassuming band, The Wave Pictures. To paraphrase Bob Dylan, there's nothing I don't like about them. David Tattersall is a songwriter of genius and a wonderful guitarist to boot. Jonny Helm backs him with terrific harmonies and joyful drumming, while Franic Rozycki drives them forward with melodic basslines and a baritone to sink ships. And most importantly, they seem to enjoy what they do.

Despite this, their internet presence is scattered at best. I intend to bring you the news and interviews I find and to document their catalogue of excellent records. Please feel free to help me with this and comment away on the posts. I look forward to discussing the origin of lyrics and to argue over the best version of Long Island.
